Getting To Carnegie:
From Downtown Pittsburgh:
Take the Penn Lincoln Parkway-West(Interstate 279) South (Follow detour for Fort Pitt Tunnel) to the "Carnegie/Heidelberg" exit; follow the signs for "Carnegie." You've Just taken the 279 Carnegie Exit (see below)
From the Pittsburgh International Airport:
Take the Southern Expressway and the Penn Lincoln Parkway-West, east, to the "Carnegie/Heidelberg" exit.
Follow the signs for "Carnegie." You'll merge onto Lydia Street.
At the light, turn right onto Chestnut Street, then left onto Main street.
Go several blocks until you reach a four way stop. (Papa J's on your left)
Turn left onto Broadway, then immediately bear right up the hill. This is
Beechwood avenue. The library is on your right.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike(Interstate 76):
Take the "Warrendale" exit, of the Turnpike, and proceed south on Interstate 79. Do not take Interstate 279 into Pittsburgh. Exit Interstate 79 at the "Carnegie" exit. You've Just taken the 79 Carnegie Exit (see below)
From Interstate 70:
At the interchange for Interstate 79, near Washington, Pennsylvania, take Interstate 79, north, to the "Carnegie" exit. You've Just taken the 79 Carnegie Exit (see below)
Interstate exits Into Carnegie:
From 279 Carnegie Exit:
Proceed straight, through the first traffic light, onto Mansfield Boulevard. As you approach the second traffic light, move into the left turning lane. Turn left, at the second traffic light, onto Broadway. You are now "On Broadway, in Carnegie" (see below)
From 79 Carnegie Exit
Take West Main Street, east, into Carnegie and continue east as it becomes Mansfield Boulevard. Turn right, onto Broadway.
You are now "On Broadway, in Carnegie" (see below)

Proceed to and through the first stop sign. (This intersection is East Main Street.)
You should see a "Y" in the road. Bear to your right (up the hill), onto Beechwood
Avenue; the Library and Music Hall are located in the first building at the top
of the hill on your right.
At the top of the hill, the very first road, to the right, accesses the traffic
circle around the Library/Music Hall building (traffic flows counter-clockwise,
only). The Library entrance will be seen first; the Music Hall entrance is located
on the far side of the building.
