A “Utopian” study guide

Thanks to an amazing Utopia cast member and volunteer, Annette Bransby Frontz, we are excited to provide a free educational ‘study guide’ to help get you ready for the Pittsburgh Premiere of Utopia Limited.  Annette dives into many areas, including the legal elements of the storyline, Gilbert and Sullivan’s collaboration history, and what makes an operetta different from a musical. We hope that this new document will be a great asset to teachers, school students, and opera enthusiasts in better understanding one of G&S’s most complex creations.

The Utopia Limited Study Guide is available as the Full Study Guide download (11pages) or divided into three sections “Operas, Operettas and musicals”“Utopia Production: Synopsis, Cast and Musical Numbers” and “Show History and Literature Connections”.

See our Utopia Limited Show Page for more info about our March 7th-16th production!
